Freda’s ready for her “Forever Home”

This super little chestnut pony is a real sweetheart and has just finished being started by young show and dressage rider Chloe Campbell and ready to go to a loving and knowledgeable home.

Freda is aged three (but with a very mature head on her shoulders) and is currently around 13.1 hh and still growing! She also loves cuddles and is a very sweet natured girl, and just last weekend was also introduced to whip cracking and cattle..taking it all in her stride! She walks, trots and canters in both directions with no fuss, and has been worked both in indoor and outdoor arenas in recent months, plus she’s done plenty of quiet trail rides and stock work around our farm…and always walks home on a loose rein. She doesn’t fret about working away from other horses and has no bite, kick, rear or buck in her – but she is lovely and free moving, so not a plodder and therefore not suitable for an absolute beginner or tiny rider. Freda is already showing talent for jumping and/or sporting, and she is currently working softly and in a collected frame in her flat and lateral work.

It is our firm belief that she would make an absolutely stunning hack pony…or a terrific pony club/pleasure mount. She’s priced at $4400 (inc. GST) – which also includes 2 FREE lessons with Michelle O’Neill from Cherry Tree Equine and both her current canvas/fully lined winter rug and a cotton show rug for her new owners. We’ll be taking more photos on the weekend, but you can watch the attached video to see just how quiet and co-operative this little mare is!

You can also view her under saddle at the Nimmitabel Pony club rally at Mila via Bombala on August 17th – or by appointment. She walks, trots and canters in both directions with no fuss, and has been worked both in indoor and outdoor arenas, plus plenty of quiet trail rides and stock work…and always walks home on a loose rein.

Charlotte Dujardin & Valegro FEI World Cup 2014

Charlotte Dujardin and Velegro have nailed their new freestyle routine with a record breaking score of 92.179% to music from the animated film How to Train Your Dragon.

“The music’s so great — I literally felt like we danced our way round,” said Charlotte. “I was so emotional at the end, he gives me so much and that’s all you can ask.”

Her mentor Carl Hester said: “I think that routine could become a new world record — it’s more difficult than the one with which she set the record and he didn’t make a mistake.”

Valegro (born 2002) is a horse ridden by the British equestrian Charlotte Dujardin in the sport of dressage. He stands 16.2hh and has the stable name of Blueberry.

This horse is unbeatable! Inspired now!

Stacey Briggs

Just had some lovely news from our 2013 member Stacey Briggs. Stacey has moved to Vic this year for work so I don’t know if we will see so much of her & Bowie this year at FSCDA but they are certainly having a wonderful time. Not only accepted on the Vic Eventing Development Squad they are also performing very well.
In Stacey’s words “OMG!!! Just got back from Wandin Park International Horse Trials. We had to leave early as my mechanics seem to have broken the clearance lights on Tonka Truck. So we had to be home before dark. Just checked the results and we came THIRD!!!! Bowie tried so hard all weekend and I’m just blown away.”
Congratulations!!

Check Stacey out competing in the Baxter Boots NSW State Eventing Championships 2012.
